Re: 1thousandkissesdeep:a multimedia internet based celebration

Lizzy, The intention of my project is to celebrate Mr. Cohen by providing a venue for people to express their appreciation for his huge body of work... and the man himself (perhaps his greatest work). So if anyone wants to e-mail me something to be incorporated into the multi media jumbo that would ...

As I had posted elsewhere, here in Winnipeg we are preparing for three days of celebration in September of Leonard's 75th. This Thursday we will be holding an open mike for people to share their covers of Mr. Cohen's songs/poetry or prose OR to share original work inspired or adressed to OH. Details...

Anyone tape this? I would love a copy. PM, I have Leonard's induction into the Canadian Songwriter's Hall of Fame on DVD.

Re: Leonard Cohen: Hallelujah: A New Biography by Tim Footman

I see it is published by Chrome Dreams. There is a Neil Young album by that name. Nice image.

Looking forward to reading this.

Re: The Webb sisters

The Webb sisters cartwheel is a "Fall 2008" tour onwards phenomeon. It occurs at the end of the "white girls dancing" line of The Future, which is a couple of songs into set one. I'm not all that impressed, and kinda hope not to see it again, but then I grew up with English girl...

Re: The Webb sisters

Which song is it that the Webb sisters do their cartwheel? I recall it early in the show at Winnipeg but I can't see it anywhere on the Live in London DVD.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Northern Canada leg OR North Canadian leg?

Oh.  I think it's "Eastern Canada", but better wait for our anglo friends to confirm. 8) No, no ... it should be East African. I am not an expert but that is how I would say it as an anglophone. And by the way Darling, I love Quebec. As a westerner I never overlook a chance to ...

Re: Northern Canada leg OR North Canadian leg?

Definitely not Eastern Canada - that implies the Maritimes which is where all of these tours started and he isn't going back yet! Northern would imply the territories. the first dates are west coast, the next western canada or the prairies and the rest are sort of central Canada - we're a big place...

Re: "Leonard Cohen Live in London" - DVD & 2CD - April 2009

Surprised at negative comments about DVD - watched/listened to it last night & thought it was fantastic & a very accurate representation of our memories of that concert (played it through high quality hi fi system so maybe this made a difference). Anyway, loved it and want to watch it all o...

Re: recording policy?

I am sure conditions can change drastically from venue to venue. I couldn't get my ticket until two hours before the show as I had bought it through the pre-sale. On the ticket in Winnipeg it did say words to the effect "no cameras, video or recording equipment". That however, may be on ev...
