Re: Happy Birthday, Leonard!

May peace be upon you as you mark the anniversary of the beginning of your life.

May God grant you many more years,
For sure He must be knowing
The earth has angels all too few,
And heaven is overflowing.

Happy Birthday Leonard.
Love, Joan.

Re: Your Leonard Cohen Autographs

This is one of my most treasured items - I love it. I printed out the poem myself on an A4 sheet of paper. I have the original framed and standing on top of my music system. I also have a' half size' photo copy of it laminated as a bookmark. Kind Regards, Joan. ( this is a photo of it so It isn't pe...

Re: Meet up in Dublin

Yes - leonard is due on at 7.30pm

For some reason Irish people have 8.0pm as a start time for ALL shows in Ireland - so don't be surprised to see lots of people arrive for an 8.00pm start despite the email saying 7.30pm ......

can't wait - see you there :D
Kind Regards, Joan.

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin September 11, 12, 14 & 15, 2012

I'm finally getting around to adding a few lines here. I was at the Friday and Saturday night concerts and they were magical. On the Friday I was in the 4th row of the centre block so I wasn't really bothered much by the walkers and drinkers. On Saturday I was in the 12th row of the centre block so ...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin Sept 11, 12, 14 & 15, 2012

Can anyone tell me where the box office in Kilmainham on Saturday will be? This is the info from Ticketmaster Box Office Information If you selected Box Office Collection, your tickets will be available for collection on the day of the concert. The Box Office will be open from 13:00 and will be loc...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin Sept 11, 12, 14 & 15, 2012

Yes Joan, that is the way you walk again..its not too bad, about ten mins to the venue. and its very nice indeed when you get there, no mud as we had no rain, good food and drinks etc... YOu will have a wonderful time... the concert ends around eleven, so if you need to go back to the city, you can...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin Sept 11, 12, 14 & 15, 2012

Some logistical issues - entry is via the Military Road entrance (the eastern side) and the Kilmainham Gate is closed. It takes about 10 minutes to walk around from the Kilmainham side. The traffic around Kilmainham is dire, so park the car somewhere else (we parked in St James's Hospital). I was a...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin Sept 11, 12, 14 & 15, 2012

Thanks for all the feedback on the 1st Dublin show - can't wait for Friday & Saturday...... Mind you I am sitting by a walkway.....hopefully I can mentally block out 'the restless walkers' - that's one of the reasons why I prefer an indoor concert, people aren't inclined to walk around as much -...

Re: Tom Jones' interpretation of Leonard Cohen's 'Tower Of S

My honest opioion.....I saw it last night on MTV and I don't like it at all. It actually made me cringe. The lines with 'my hair is grey' and 'a golden voice' struck me as pandering to his own ego. I'd be happy to never hear this version again - it merely spoils the Leonard memories in my head, and ...
