Re: Montreal tribute: media coverage, photos & YouTube links
Agreed - the CBC tv show probably bootlegged by now was excellent but missed some key moments - especially Sharon Robinson filling in at the last minute to do I'm Your Man - she was awesome! and Sting doing Anthem should have been the finale!

Re: Montreal: comments and feelings
Thanks 199Dan and mutti - very good advice. I'm leaving Montreal tomorrow but I hope to go back for an hour or two! Your advice was right on - I got to the room with the poetry organ (and got to play it for a while) when it wasn't busy, but didn't find where the index was - didn't matter too much as...

Re: Montreal: comments and feelings
Back in Montreal for the first time since Tower of Song. Finally going to see the Cohen exhibit since it wasn't open to the public before I left. I would appreciate any suggestions tips from those who have seen it already.

Re: Montreal tribute: media coverage, photos & YouTube links
Loved the CBC broadcast tonight - cried and laughed through much of it - it came across really well but of course much was left out. Especially would have loved to see Sharon Robinson's take on I'M YOUR MAN - its it was fantastic at the time. I know LC must be very proud of his son - so glad I was a...

Re: Montreal: comments and feelings
Interesting info stfa. Thanks. I wonder why they didn't do Passing Through? If there is one thing the show lacked it was an ensemble finale. Having a solo singer do an off standard version of Closing Time was an odd way to finish. When she asked us to sing along we couldn't very easily because she ...

Re: Montreal: comments and feelings
I picked up a copy of one of the camera man's setlist. It shows some omissions/changes: I'M YOUR MAN was supposed to be done by Macy Grey, BOOGIE STREET done by Philip Glass and Sharon Robinson was supposed to follow the TOWER OF SONG video and the finale was supposed to be WE ARE ALL PASSING THROUG...

Re: Montreal: comments and feelings
Fantastic show! Only one or two quibbles - the biggest is I wish the Webb sisters had had a number all to themselves. The singer who did IF IT BE YOUR WILL was great but the Webb sisters version would have brought the house down, I guess I'm living in the past but it would have been nice to relive i...

Going home
Without the sorrow
Going home
Sometime tomorrow
Going home
To where it’s better
Than before
Going home
Without the burden
Going home
Behind the curtain
Going home
Without this costume
That I wore
