Re: Tony Palmer presents "Bird on a wire"

Ah well, it's a small negative, though I love that performance so much. Can't wait for the dvd.

Re: Tony Palmer presents "Bird on a wire"

I've just listened to Live Songs....and have never seen Bird on a Wire. Someone please tell me there's a version of "Please Don't Pass Me By" is on there. I love it so much.

Various Positions: A Life of LC question

I just this as being released on Oct. 1, 2007 on Amazon. I have the version from about 1993, so I had a question. Is this version updated closer to the present day? I've never read a book that about Leonard's life that was better than Various Positions, so this would be something I'd love to have.

Re: Which album to get??

Maybe the answer is to get both...I've never really heard any Judy Collins songs outside of a few Dylan covers, and I only heard the Jennifer Warnes album once a long time ago. Hmmm...

Which album to get??

Ok, call me out of it but I've just noticed that Judy Collins released an all-Cohen album called Democracy a few years ago and that there is also a 20th Anniversary edition of Famous Blue Raincoat by Jennifer Warnes out. Between the two, which one would everyone advise I get?

Digipacks

I hope somewhere down the line these come out in jewel cases. I'm not too into the whole digipack thing. Call me old fashioned.

Dylan

I can identify with your annoyance with the Dylan remasters. I wish they'd hurry up and finish with the rest of his catalog.

The Next Batch of Reissues

I've read that later this year we'll get the next three reissues of Leonard's albums. Does anyone know if this will be just the studio albums, where we'd get up to and including Recent Songs, or will it include his live album from 1973?

Leonard biography question

I have one book on Leonard, Various Positions, and it ends in the 90s. My question is: is there another great biography of him, or is there one that goes up closer to the present?

Sounds pretty cool, though I'd rather hear Leonard sing by himself. I guess these performances are all being recorded for Leonard's upcoming dvd. Good to see things happening. By the way, is there any news on Anjani's album?

I was actually just thinking the other day about how his voice would sound on tour these days. Especially after reading all the comments about his voice "disappearing" on Dear Heather. But, I went for the 90s and The Future because I think his voice is just perfect on that one. He's never had a clas...

Gotta say the 90s, simply because that's when The Future came out.

Actually, I'd love it if the next one sounded a bit more like The Future, it's still my favorite "newer" album.
