Re: Sligo-Help for newbies.
No question ... Leonard's signature had not changed dramatically!! ;-) Sincere thanks to the management and staff of the Pier Head Hotel in Mullaghmore, Leonard's 'home' while he graced us with his presence in Sligo, who have made available to Carlowmike and I, Leonard's signature, which he gave to ...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Sligo, July 31 & August 1, 2010
Sunday Miscellany on RTE Radio 15 August 2010 featured 'Land, Sea and Song with Leonard Cohen' by James Moran. You can' Listen Back' to the full programme (which I think will include songs played between the readings) or listen to the podcast of the programme (which does not include songs). On the p...

Having communicated with Carlowmike about this, I am posting a photo of the 'other' fake signature also.

So glad the hoax has been revealed before well-meaning people took steps to commemorate Leonard's visit to Drumcliffe.

by musicmania » Fri Aug 13, 2010 12:41 pm Adams partners name is Jes(s) so it must have being her. If the grandchild was there it is safe to assume his mother was there too. Thank you musicmania, that may explain the response I received from the Cohen family member. "Badge and Shield Award&quo...

Re: Sligo-Help for newbies.
Wonderful news on the tree planting, plaque, flowers and signature at Drumcliffe.
Thank you Carlowmike and all involved. Much appreciated. And if you do decide to accept contributions towards costs I'd love to add mine.

Re: Sligo-Help for newbies.
@ Sandraa. You're welcome and good points. @ Isi. Drumcliffe camp? Great idea!! I had to give myself a brief talking to on Monday, to remind myself of my great fortune in being at the concert Sunday night. I'd been out the coast at Mullaghmore Thursday night, oblivious to the presence of great...

Re: Sligo-Help for newbies.
@burningviolin - I had a similar funny experience on Monday, but what we found was the fake signature!! (I've a photo of that too!!) I do believe its the real one I photographed on Thursday. Passed that way today and thought about checking it was still there, but didn't ... getting slightly concerne...

Re: Sligo-Help for newbies.
Sellotaped back in, dear me. (note to the people at Drumcliff, do invest in a nice hard back bound book to write signatures in!) By the way, what date was beside the signature? Yes! I'm a bit concerned about it's survival! The page was just taped in the top corner and as a result it sticks out from...

Re: Sligo-Help for newbies.
I went by there before leaving on Monday but couldn't find his signature. I really hope I'm wrong and that I just couldn't see it and that if someone tore it out that it's to preserve it and it won't be suddenly appearing on Ebay or something. Yes, I have same concerns. I looked on Sunday an...
