I watched a Rick Steves travel show on PBS last night, featuring the top 12 Hidden Gems of Europe.
The number one spot was HYDRA

I noticed the Hydra segment was basically the same video available on YouTube.

I would love to come over to Hydra, the place looks amazing and watching Leonard perform under the stars is just what I need right now. Hopefully that's how it will be in Dublin in September and I can wait a year for my first visit to Hydra, Eve x

Hello, this is Carmen again... I have missed you all so much...

For a long while I tried to make my mother's suffering more endurable. At least she knew that she was surrounded by love and tenderness. But my efforts to fight away her illness were in vain, and she left us forever on July 12.
Throughout this toughest of times, Leonard's music was in my heart and gave me strength.
I often opened the forum page, but could not find enough strength to write...

But I would love to finally meet you all - next year in Hydra. If I can find it in myself to smile again.

Meanwhile, I hope that at least some of you will be in Bucharest in September, for Leonard's concert here. The venue is almost sold out, it seems - and I am glad that Leonard's dedicated fans from Romania and the whole world will be here.

Our Hydra 2013 meetup on Hydra may get a bit bigger than the previous gatherings on the island. Looks like so many members plan to participate in next year's get-together. It's possible that we will have some extra program as well (and of course the traditional concert screening and our monastery walk).

We have been suggested a one day excursion on the Peloponnese across Hydra, to visit the ancient theater of Epidaurus and the picturesque city of Nafplion. This might happen on Thursday June 6 or Friday June 7. We will tell you more when we have some details and price.

It might be a good idea not to book the flights yet, OR if you do, to take some extra days before the meetup days June 8-10.
