I didn´t kill myself when things went wrong
I didn´t turn to drugs or teaching
I tried to sleep, but when I couldn´t sleep
I learned to write.
I learned to write what might be read
on nights like this by one like me.

Now, that is one sweet photo of Leonard.
Great card, Ine.
I'll let Stam make her own comment, as she did on FB about it ;)

I really like the lines you've chosen.

Happy Easter to Leonard, you, and everyone.

Ah but surely Leonard is famous for saying :

I was 60 years old—just a kid with a crazy dream. Since then I’ve taken a lot of Prozac, Paxil, Wellbutrin, Ritalin, … I’ve also studied the religions and philosophies, but cheerfulness kept breaking through.

I for one don't think that LC is that highly religious, more like just a keen interest perhaps. I think he has much preferred other "things" as opposed to religion

So someone posting something so simple as an Easter bunny dressed as Leonard (although not my, or others, cup of tea), it's hardly worth worrying about....and religious, or Cohen quotes perhaps slightly misplaced ;-)
I guess it all started for me sometime around Christmas 1967 and now, goodness me, it's.........2013.
The thing the sixties did was to show us the possibilities and the responsibility that we all had. It wasn't the answer. It just gave us a glimpse of the possibility....... John Lennon

We disagree here, Vicomte...After averting my eyes from this horrendous piece of schlock on Facebook, I expressed a cry of genuine agony when I saw it here (ah well, it's come to this...).

Toooo serious, John. Surely it's been coming to this since the beginning of the last tour but I had been bracing myself for this moment to arrive ;-)

Leonard Cohen as a cutesy bunny. How will I get this vision out of my head?

I prefer this one to the dancing Santa and elves routine that his face ended up in.

i agree, marsha... it clearly comes from a heart of love... the Santa/elves, too. i don't really think leonard's lost his sense of humour... and with all the babies who have come into his life, this sort of thing is likely more 'normal' to him than before
