Hey boss, I need more money
Hey day, I need more light
Hey love, I need your honey
Hey Jude, I need your pride
I take a sad song
to make it better
it's found on my tongue
not to forget her
Yes you expected
good poetry again
all you detected
was just a plain refrain

Well, Henning, I happen to like the sentiments it expresses. Your last stanza stands alone, unrelated to the ironies above it, which stand as a great way to say Hello from Germany....your boss's loss, our gain.

Hi Henning
Last year I said that you had "nothing to declare" when I penned those lines for your stopover at Gatwick. Those lines were destined for obscurity. These lines have everything to declare.
Keep declaring.

Try writing it in German: it would make more sense to readers of English. We might even escape the Beatles bits (mind you, the Beatles recorded in German, but not "Hey Jude", as far as I know).

Boy, oh Boy. You are a piece of work, Andrew. A few lines in bronze and you become one of the unacknowledged legislators of the world.
