He only swore at money and that's allowable. He didn't say f--king sex, which would have been morally questionable.

Could I question why that would be morally questionable?

Other than your sense of humour, Lightning, I just find it redundant.

I'm certainly no stranger to profanity, but I did not think Leonard dabbled in such sayings.
I read an interview where in a moment of bewilderment he uttered some phrases, but to go from that to HEARING it performed in a SONG.. It was such a shock.

Thank you again and again for doing these, Lightning. I love Leonard's tenderness in Chelsea 1 and the "your sweet little sound" phrase about Janis is such a reminder, as you listen, of just how human she was and, in many ways, a little girl gone too soon. I went on to watch two by her... "I'll Try" and "Summertime." I'm still amazed at how pure and raw soulful she was. I wish so much she had lived.

The camera follows Leonard as he experiences (suffers?) the ups and downs of touring: handling mobs of people, dragging through airports with musical instruments, unwanted solicitations from women, autographs he must sign, dumb interview questions he doesn't feel like answering and must politely decline. All this he carries off with dignity and grace to face the cheering crowds.
Watching the fourth one and your synopsis above, this is what I wrote there:
Perfect and beautiful synopsis, Lightning. This is such a reminder of all that Leonard has gone through with the throngs of fans. How gracious he will be if he consents to go through it again, this many years later. Thank heaven for Anjani, as well as Esther, to run interference on his behalf now.
It's wonderful having these to watch, Lightning. Such a gracious human being he's always been. Thank you again for all your effort.

Love,
Elizabeth

I have no idea what will happen on the next tour. I only know how, in New York, I watched these two women dear to Leonard be very effective in negotiating the movements of others regarding him. When it's time for them to leave, Anjani is very effective in gathering him up and getting everything in motion. It appears to be an agreed-upon arrangement which allows Leonard to relax and interact with people, without having to concern himself with these matters and then, when the time arrives, Anjani knows exactly what needs to be done and does it.

I don't get it. It's was her showcase and her tour. Why is she having to gather him up. Shouldn't it be the other way around. You make it sound like she's his wrangler. Or his mother.

Lightning, those were all great, thanks. I love the 70's Leonard. And he was being such a guy with the girl fan!! Loved it. Don't think he needed any interference there..... logistics assistance more like.

Thanks again, Lightning.

You're right, Christine. That wasn't the particular scene I was referring to, of course. He did just fine on his own. I meant where the fans were just thronging him.

No right or wrong, Lizzy. I mean, how many of us women didn't think he was hot then and maybe even now. Given the chance, I'd've taken him home even if I was a bit too young when I saw him in the 70's.

Lightning, do you have any Leonard videos of Please Don't Pass Me By, por favor? I've searched thru youtube but with no luck. And these 70's videos are so fantastic that I can't get enough of them.

So why is Leonard lying on the edge of the stage with fans petting him?
