Leonard Cohen the stand-up comic

I watched the DVD "Ladies and Gentlemen: Mr. Leonard Cohen" and it shows him perform as a stand-up comic! It was pretty funny too!

Does anyone know anything about his work as a stand-up comic? I heard he used to be a hypnotist as well.

I remember thinking maybe Leonard missed his vocation as a comic. His timing was really good. How come someone with such a talent for comedy ended up with a reputation as the crown prince of depressives?

leonard cracked me up on one of his live albums when he sang "if you want another kind of lover i'll wear my LEATHER mask for you"!!!
