17:30 in Spain??
I think a walking tapas route through the Poble Sec district on our way to the Magic fountain after the football would be a good option.
Next to the Rabbit hole there's pizza, kebab and sandwiches available.

Ok, now I got it - the tables are reserved for those who want to watch football and not for dinner...

bea...thanks for what looks like is going to be a grand weekend...

seriously i hope you haven't booked too many tables at the rabbit hole...i think you may have over estimated the number of people who want to sit in a pub watching a football match on a TV screen...and a german football match at that...i can only think of one person or maybe two in our group who would want to waste their time doing such a thing on a beautiful barcelona evening...so I'm sure the matter will be discussed during the weekend...as jarkko has said most people will just want to head straight to their hotels to drop their luggage and check in....then I'm sure we would all be up for a tapas tour along the way to the magic fountains....someone might even remember to collect the german in the rabbit hole after he has watched his football match...

Weather forecast is looking very good ...ta ken

We can confirm Kens weather forecast, being in Tossa de Mar since Wednesday. Sunny and warm, at least at daytime, but not hot, evenings can be a little fresh.
Also had the chance to check on our organizer - which was a wonderful day. She is in good form and well prepared for our weekend.
Looking forward to meet you all in Viladrau, have safe travels,
Harald

Ken,
Yes, you're on! Think I desperately need the fountain of youth!
Resonance with Tiír na nÓg of course for us irishers. Don't drink all the water before I get there...

The river's in flood
And the roads are awash
The bridges break up
In the panic of loss

we are experiencing the difference between weather forecast and weather

see you all tomorrow
(and the sun will be warm and the soft winds will ride on the willow trees in Viladrau at your side - or not)

As promised here is the poem I recited on the last day of our walking weekend . As I said then I hope the fact that I have used one of Leonard's song to express my feelings hasn't upset anyone but I looked on it as a compliment to him ! It's called :
Democracy in Villadrau

We are coming from the cities everywhere
To stay in Villadrau Square
We are coming for the feel
To see if it is real
It's real because we like to think we care
From the chaos and disorder
Of the walking everyday
To the feeling we are conquerors
In every single way
The Cohenites are coming to walk this way

We came when Beatrice made that special call
She promised us a lot of alcohol
A staggering amount
If we could then account
For her god damn mountains rise and fall
But now we are all silent
The pain won't go away
We lay here bruised and battered
But our hearts are here to stay
The Cohenites are coming to walk this way

We are coming from the sorrow in the street
As we bandage up our badly blistered feet
From the homicidal bitching
To the cuts that need some stitching
And the loss of those unable to complete
From the wells of disappointment
When we all got down to pray
For the grace of God on these mountains here
In the hope they'd go away
The Cohenites are coming to walk this way

Walk on ! Walk on !
Our legs are in a state
It's our beds we need
As our bodies bleed
Through the airport gate

We went to Barmouth for the very first
Haiger Galway speedily dispersed
But it's here we got the range
The machinery for change
And it's here we got the spiritual thirst
It's here the climb was broken
And it's here we got to say
These weekends they must carry on
In a fundamental way
I hope these Cohen meet ups are here to stay

It's coming from the women and the men
Who meet this week as good friends once again
Our friendship is so deep
Sometimes it makes me weep
And the mountain has been conquered ! So Amen!

Walk on ! Walk on !
Our legs are in a state
It's our beds we need
As our bodies bleed
Through the airport gate

I'm sentimental if you know what I mean
I wake up thinking it was all a dream
But I'm full of pure delight
So I'm getting pissed tonight
Lost in this crazy Cohen scene
I'm stubborn as those garbage bags
Time cannot delay
And I become a grumpy old man
If I don't get my way
So everyone must promise me we are here to stay !
