Hallelujah: A Celebration of LEONARD COHEN

Post by Mary72 »

Green Note & JW3 present…. Hallelujah: A Celebration of LEONARD COHEN as part of the Hampstead & Highgate Literary Festival
Join us for a tribute to one of Hampstead’s most famous one-time residents, novelist, poet and one of the greatest songwriters to ever grace the planet, Leonard Cohen. Admitting to influences as wide ranging as Hebrew prayer and Federico Garcia Lorca, Cohen himself has, in turn, inspired generations of artists. Salman Rushdie once said of his work, “If I could write like that, I would.”
A stellar troupe of musicians including Mercury Music Prize nominees, Kathryn Williams and Ed Harcourt, Indie pop rock band, The Magic Numbers, and singer-songwriter Polly Paulusma, offer their own spin on Cohen’s music and poetry.
