Robyn Hitchcock - The Butcher

Postby ScottM » Wed Nov 30, 2016 4:33 pm

A caller to BBC Radio 6 Music yesterday on the Marc Riley show, reported on a gig he'd attended in the City Winery in New York on Nov. 29, 2016.
It was a concert by Robyn Hitchcock and the caller highlighted "...a beautiful Leonard Cohen cover that he couldn't remember the name of..."
Someone has uploaded the track that I presume he was alluding to.
Thought that I would share:

It;s been ages since I heard this song. I forgot how wickedly haunting it is and how trying to analyze it makes your brain hurt.

Thanks for posting, I am off to listen to the whole album.
