Re: Is it becoming slightly stale?

I have been to all four Irish concerts, but decided that Leonard has come to the well too often this time. I'm probably not the only one, as tickets for his Dublin concerts are being heavily advertised.

I'm a lifelong fan; I've just finished Sylvie Simmons's biography and really enjoyed it. The main deciding factor for me was the O2 venue - despite the advertisements describing it as an intimate venue, it most certainly isn't. The Kilmainham and Lissadel venues were intimate and atmospheric - but I do understand Leonard's aversion to atmospheric Irish rain, wind and cold.

After long and hard inner discussions, I persuaded myself that I could pay my respects to Leonard in Hydra. So, while he's playing in Dublin, I'll be flying to Athens on the 12th September, taking the boat to Hydra the following day. If Leonard wishes to join me, he's very welcome. We can celebrate his birthday with some suitable songs and libations.

Where? I've seen or heard none other than on the Ticketmaster home page where in the last week they are in the featured section again. Any newspaper sightings info so I can get a copy would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi Musicmania

The tickets have been advertised on radio several times over the last few weeks, as well as Irish Times.

An interesting thread. I can see all sides of the argument, but one thing that strikes me (and forgive me if anyone has mentioned this before) is that the majority of the audience at any given show will not have seen multiple concerts, and so it will always be fresh and new to thousands of people who are there. I was listening to "Live in London" the other day, and then I listened to the beautiful recording of the Memphis concert this April (thank you Rachel!) If they were the only two concerts I had ever been to I would consider them completely different. After all, it is our choice to attend so many concerts.

Since 2008 every show has begun with the same song for both act 1&2 as well as the first and second encores.
Kinda like Dylan's "NEVER-ENDING" TOUR, huh ???

ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER

LIKE A ROLLING STONE.

*shrugs*

Still, i've never seen LC live, & would certainly jump at the chance. Has he considered coming to KOREA ??? Think he has a decent fan base here.

If so, you gotta let me know !!!

Wrong. Dylan hasn't played LARS live in over a year.

Japhy, all the setlists for the latest leg of the tour are collected here

viewtopic.php?f=75&t=33984

The last concert in Bournmouth closed with:

Closing Time
I Tried to Leave You

but it has varied throughout the past month.

By the way, I see you are rather new to the Forum. Please ignore Rodin. His attitude does not represent the majority of the Forum members you will meet.
