I just finished talking to my youngest daughter, who will spend Xmas in Quebec with her Dad. She and I have had our differences of opinion over the years, to say the least, but on the L.C. concert (I saw him in Ottawa, she saw the Kingston show) we share a sense of affection and admiration for Leonard Cohen.

He's always been fabulous but, as others have said, his voice seems to get better as he ages, which is unusual for a singer. His time up Mount Baldy was well spent, I'd say. He makes his fans, no matter how many thousands of them are in attendance, feel like the concert is a special treat for each one. His constant humility rings absolutely true. Whether he's teasing, singing, or skipping off stage, he makes it look like he'd rather be performing right here, right now, than doing anything else on earth.

I loved the way my daughter and I raved about Leonard, sharing excited incites into the concerts, the songs and the man. Oh then she'd have enough and it was time for her to escape conversation with her mom for cooler stuff. That's okay with me. I had my moment with her. Thanks again, Leonard.

sturgess, re: the set list you posted. Did Leonard actually sing the list of songs that includes Joan of Arc? I don't believe he performed any of the songs on that little list at the Ottawa concert. Are they possible alternates or . . . what is that list? Please elaborate.

Thanks!
Mad

Hi Mad - I think you are referring to the image that I posted of the setlist from the Kingston show - that someone posted at Twitter.
And it is also at Flickr - here -

And you are correct - the songs in the "non-bold" print at the bottom (including "Joan of Arc") are "possible alternatives".
Joan of Arc was not performed.

Below is the correct setlist for the Kingston show posted by "zwirnie" in the Setlists thread here at the forum.

And zwirnie also posted it at SetList.fm -

Sturgess66--

Do you know if there is a video available for La Manic or Lover, Lover, Lover from Kingston, or for Tower of Song from the 2nd Boston concert?

A fellow Pennsylvanian would love to see these.

Hi its4inthemorning in Allentown! :)
I have posted anything that was available - that I could find.
Albert Noonan also posted some good video from Boston - but not "Tower of Song"
There was little video from either of these shows.
You never know what will show up - or when - and if I see - I will post.

HOWEVER - this is good news - looks like Jason has "Lover, Lover, Lover" from this Kingston show.
