Thank you Marie, Gwen, Joe, and Marsha!

I wish I had posted sooner because when I had referred to the notes I had made during the show, all I could see was some scribbling  I wouldn't have scribbled things down unless I found the moment interesting and he was saying soooo much more than I related here.

I have to say, those curse words, when he used them, we're very effective as he almost yelled them at us. They were 'wake up audience and pay attention to what I'm saying' moments.

Thanks to mary B for the great report and interesting observations
I've heard the ' magnified illuminated mirror story ' a few times - and the age he mentions is definately 15!

A Visit From St. Leonard

....otherwise known as Leonard Cohen, whose visit I was looking forward to so much more than that of the other guy whose last name begins with the letter "C". Revered Canadian poet and singer Leonard Cohen, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008, is blessed with a marvelous baritone voice and a large repertoire of rather bleak songs that combine the religious and the sexual. Backed by a stellar group of musicians and backup singers, he entertained his London fans for over three hours with songs from recent albums, and old favourites like "Chelsea Hotel", "Suzanne", "Hallelujah" and "Bird on the Wire" - it was a Leonard lovefest all around.

Neil Young, Leonard Cohen Tie For Concert Of Year

By James Reaney, The London Free Press
Wednesday, January 2, 2013 7:41:52 EST PM

...

CONCERT OF THE YEAR (Tie)
NEIL YOUNG and CRAZY HORSE, Oct. 6, Budweiser Gardens
LEONARD COHEN, Dec. 11, Budweiser Gardens

The two Canadian stars took different paths to excellence at the downtown arena. Both are repeat winners in the category, having shared top spot in 2009 with Jay-Z.

The hip-hopper wasn’t here in 2012. Cohen and Young were back with concerts to savour.

Cohen united a crowd of 5,500 fans, charmed by his wit and agility and worshipful in their respect for the perfect sound, majestic nine-piece band and all those songs.

Cohen, 78, suggested he might be back when he’s 80. We can hope. All he did this time was provide three-hours-plus of the artist as a poised and poetic older man.

And it's only a partial - but includes Leonard taking the stage after intermission and his opening remarks before singing -
