I guess I just don't know how to read the GMT/UTC times! The above from your link. I always include the DST so it threw me. Thanks for the link though.

Count me in as one of the confused. I had the same reaction when I first read Jarkko's post.
This is what my Google basic setting says this morning:

I think Europeans like to include GMT UTC ABC XYZ as part of the announcement time just to confuse we colonials.
On May 3, I will go by the simple to understand, when it is 9 am in New York, it is 6 am in Los Angeles.

Apologies if I've got this wrong but it looks as it it's mainly the Brits who are confused, in which case it might be worth remembering that the UK is currently on BST, which is one hour ahead of GMT/UTC ......

ok... thats where the problem lies... I assumed GMT changed with the Summer time and the Winter time so it was always the actual time. Anyway, I too will be logging on at 2pm Irish time (yes, I'm Irish not English) which will be 9am New York.!!! Roll on 3rd.!! . Don't we really know how to confuse ourselves.. the funny thing is I used to giggle at my parents when they did stuff like this... and look where I am now!!
