Even those like me who hate little LCD screens interfering with the view have to make an exception for Albert and Maarten - thanks for your postings here and elsewhere. It's good to see proof the atmosphere really was as good as the subjective experience!

Only things I'd add (as a Sunday attendee) are how good the Old Ideas are sounding now and how much LC seemed to be really enjoying himself in the second half - bodes well for further tours - but Olympia was one to remember. Thanks to Christelle for all the organising; good to meet a few of you from near and far, and always a minor sense of achievement to be asked to leave an Irish bar so the staff can go to bed.

I had to recover, to some degree, from the jet lag before writing anything even vaguely coherent, & though it's all been said so beautifully by those who have posted, I wanted to just say a few words because it feels so miraculous to have the opportunity to be in the physical presence of Leonard Cohen - again. The Paris concerts were absolutely sublime, & as has been said, the Olympia is a most excellent venue. One would think that Leonard & the band might get tired by the 3rd night, in a row, of performances, but it seemed to me that each night they - & esp. Leonard - were more enthused & energized than the night before (even though the first concert was already unsurpassably wonderful), & each night the music seemed to lift me higher & touch me deeper & draw me further into those wondrous mysterious realms, to which Leonard continues to so skillfully transport us. In my experience, Alex - aka the king of the violin - possesses that special ability to really connect to the essence of Leonard's music (as do all the members of this excellent band), & the beautiful sound he creates with his instrument seems to uncover, or at least magnify, layers & dimensions of Leonard's art, which I might not become aware of, at certain moments, if not for that haunting, penetrating sound flowing in & opening certain windows of perception. I want to express my eternal gratitude to Leonard Cohen, for being born, for being the magnificent shining jewel of poetry & music that he is, for gracing us once again with his awesome incomparable presence, & for so gently & carefully, but unerringly moving the mountains that lay hidden in my heart.

I also cherish the opportunity to meet & spend time with wonderful forum friends, so thank you to the lovely Christelle (it was really great to meet you) for being willing to organize & find a nice space for us - an undertaking which, unfortunately, was a bit laden with difficulties this time - so thank you so much, we all had a great time!

And thank you to Albert for the superb videos - I am eagerly looking forward to watching them on the big (or at least bigger) screen in the living room, in the near future! Your excellent videography, as always, is greatly appreciated.

Did an apparition of Jacques Brel in a smoking jacket returning for one final bow recurr at any stage?

I'd like to think so.

Before leaving for the Paris concert, I checked tipping protocol in this city. Without fail, they all say that it is customary to tip the usher 1 euro in a theater. Seeing as how the seats at the Olympia are not numbered, the service of the ushers was invaluable. I did give our usherette a 2 euro tip (for our two seats) for which she thanked us profusely. I am surprised though, that ushers were asking for tips.

Thank you Albert for sharing more of your videos with us. The link you posted for Anthem is in fact a duplicate for Tower of song but I found your video of Anthem by searching Youtube.

With the evenings drawing in and the nights getting colder I think I will be visiting your videos on many occasions in the months to come, as they are a great reminder of those performances in Paris that touched our souls so profoundly.
