Why Not????!!!! You really should have applied for the position! It's lovely to 'see' you burningviolin! .....and it isn't me either!
btw....I'm going really well with my lessons. Today I learnt the love song from Romeo and Juliet - "A Time For Us"...fingers flying all over the place...
Bev,
We tried to push burningviolin to offer her services in Sligo to no avail. I'm sure you ladies would even offer to do it for free.

Just listened to all the links you provided of Alex Bublitchi. Thank you for this. A thoroughly excellent addition to the band.
This is the one that really grabbed me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E25ZTfuMpIA

That would make some sense since the violonist seems to be from Moldova, from what I could find on the net (which is Romania with a taste of Russia).

Not to mention that Leonard has some East European roots too...
but why Perla sounds and moves like a Gypsy here ? and accordion in the background ?

Wonderful and exciting news to see the band will be the same with the addition of this wonderful violinist.
Thank you for the links Marie and Beatriz. I too can not stop smiling...
I think many here will agree, that in more than one way, for many people, the 2012 tour will feel like home...
It will feel like 'coming home' and old friends reuniting to hear them all again.
Are we not lucky to be able to hear Leonard sing live in concert again.
Happy news! Look forward to seeing some of you on the road somewhere...

Awesome! This is my favourite band from all the tours, they are so magical together (and, we get a new addition this time). I look forward to hearing what they do with the new songs from Old Ideas. Welcome back, everyone!! :D

What a surprise to see when popping over here!! How great!!

I absolutely hope that "Going Home" is included in the setlists. I can just FEEL the atmosphere it would bring, particularly with an extended intro played by silhouettes, and then, a spot light right on Leonard as the vocals start.

Can't wait to see the North American tour dates announced!! ACK!!!
