Old Ideas Vinyl w/cd ...

Post by mericege »

Hi everyone,

I ordered the vinyl w/cd edition of the old ideas yesterday from the official store of Leonard Cohen, they shipped it to me on the same day.

If you have turntable please order this album's vinyl version too, because analog sounds better...

Take care.

Would be interested to hear how much better you find the sound and why? I wonder is the Show Me The Place glitch on the vinyl version? If it wasn't, I'd buy it in a flash

Hi there,

If you are audiophile you know what i mean. Analog sounds much more real than digital sound.

Take care.

I bought the vinyl, but my turntable needs repair so I haven't listened to it yet. I have Ten New Songs on vinyl and it sounds much better than the cd.

I have a decent turntable and decent sounding speakers and for the life of me I can't hear any advantages to vinyl. I've tried.

Glad to hear that, Jerry - was afraid I might be missing something, but apparently not! All I remember of vinyl is scratchy records and scratchier needles... :(

Bring on a high res download 24/96 or 192 Mastertape quality I say, which should blow both the CD and vinyl away!!!!!!!

Both old formats have problems at the least mechanical playback issues and limited frequency range.
