I heard back from the Rose Quarter about a possible pre-concert meet-up on Dec 8.
There are no restaurants nearby and the weather will be grim in December.
So the Rose Quarter brew pub sounds like the best option.
Arlene, here is last year's menu from our Taproom. This year's menu will be similar and the prices will be slightly higher.
As I said on the phone we will give you priority seating in the Taproom for the Leonard Cohen concert and I will let you know as soon as possible what time we will open the doors.
The menu was in a PDF file. So, I posted it on my LC Scrapbook for convenience.

It was reported that the number of seats on the floor in each row was 46. I called the box office last Saturday & they told me that there were 42 seats. I just finished calling the Rose quarter for the second time. This time they told me that there are 3 sections with 2 aisles in the middle. The center section are seats 21 to 34.

I somehow totally missed the news of this show until this morning. So...the only tickets still for sale one the venue's website are nearly in the very last row of the entire venue. I saw Leonard once before and I was fortunately enough to have a good seat in the floor section. Maybe this made me greedy, but I would love to purchase an extra ticket from someone if you have a decent one to spare. I don't need first row or anything, I am just looking to avoid the nosebleed section. Please send me a private message if you have a spare.
Thanks!
Casey
I don't know if you saw this reported on another thread on September 27.
Keep checking the Rose Quarter website. You may get lucky

Hi All
Don't see much happening re Portland concert , meet-ups etc. Seems as tho all interest has gone
to Las Vegas.
Have not made hotel arrangements yet, wondering where everyone is staying. Crown Plaza seems like
the best deal with free airport shuttle.
This is my 1st concert and will be flying down from Seattle solo.
Hope to meet forum fan members either before or after show. I'm open for
dinner or drinks . Is this still on??? if so count me in.

Hi Elaine. Have you seen my post about a pre-concert meet-up for dinner at the Rose Quarter? It is near the top of this page, posted on Sept 28.

viewtopic.php?f=44&t=22877&start=45#p250901

The Crowne Plaza seems to be a popular choice because of location and the free airport shuttle. There should be lot a of company there according to the posts on this thread.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi Arlene,
Yes I did see your earlier post but nothing further so I wasn't sure what was happening.
You can count me in for dinner before the concert and whatever after. I'm sure we'll
all be so excited sleep won't come easy. Dealing with so many emotions as we near the
end of the tour. Wish I could do LV. and be there for the final 2 concerts but have to limit
myself. I do have a ticket for Oakland that I need to sell, once I figure out how to do this.I see
the link for sales or trades so I'll get on it.
The seat is not down front but is in the Orch Row CC
P.S.
Love your scrapbook!!! I went to every page, every link---couldn't get enough
Looking forward to meeting you.
Thanks for all you do

Hi Elaine, I still plan to be there, along with my friend, Alice. We are staying at the Crowne Plaza. When do you arrive from Seattle?
We met Arlene last year, in Nashville, and I'm really looking forward to seeing her again, and to meeting you and the rest of the meet-up fans.
I've been crazy busy trying to get a hat/mittens/shawl knit up for the trip--so, I'm thinking about it every day, even tho' I don't get to this board that often.
Peace!

Hi Willietattoos
I just booked a room at Crowne Plaza, seemed like a good place to
spend the night. As you know they will pick up at the airport and
deliver us at the Rose Quarter for the concert. Can't beat that.We could
co-ordinate the shuttle trip to the RQ. if not the airport.??
Re Flight (Arr.@12:30 on United on the 8th
This is my 1st concert so won't know anyone but Leslie (Mutti) who I just
met. Looking forward to meeting you and Alice and everyone.
It should be a fun time
Cheers ,

Thanks for all your kind comments.

I have a note on my calendar to call the Rose Quarter brew pub, "Taproom" after November 15.

Stay tuned....
