I have just booked the Eden too. I was dithering over dates but the hotel seemed to be filling up fast so I thought I better make a decision quick!

Welcome to the Forum, Caroleb!
I am (as many of Cohenites, I think) also travelling alone and staying at the Eden - arrival on Thursday 5th August, departure on Tuesday 10th August.
The hotel offers a private pick-up service from Krakow airport (70 PLN).
Looking forward to meet you.

Carole,

I'm glad to see you are connecting with other Edenites, since I let you down

For those I haven't told directly:

Kathy and I have changed our plans, and won't be traveling to Krakow for the event after all.

Have fun, everyone!
See you on Hydra in 2011...I hope...

I visited Krakow last year and used a bus when I arrived to get into town, but it was a bit slow by road.
To return I used the train which is very fast, no traffic to worry about, and only cost about 6 or 7 zloties one way.
The Airport Train is fast, efficient, and cheap.

When you arrive at the airport there is a free blue shuttle bus for passengers wanting the train. This takes only a minute or 2 to take passengers to the train. As you get off the train at the main station in Krakow the bus station is alongside to take a bus or tram to Kazimierz. I expect someone local will advise nearer the time which number bus to take. Or a taxi will only be a short ride from the train station.
