Margaret, thanks for sharing your experience with public transport in Krakow. I am sure later we'll get some advice from our polish friends.
Carole, my welcome words were heartfelt but inappropriate as you are the "oldest" member from us two! I have mixed up 2009 and 2010.....
Warm regards from the cold Netherlands.

Ha, Carole,
You have joined the Forum 5 months earlier than I did - that's what I meant....
See you at the Eden, we can check our "real age" there (not necessarily..).
Warm regards from the rainy Netherlands,
Jarmila

Carole the Eden have a cab service 90PLN which equates to about £21. See if anyone is landing around the same time as you and share a cab.

Hi
That is most helpful, thanks. Is anyone arriving in Krakow on Wed 4th Aug at about 5pm? I would like to share a taxi to Hotel Eden.I dont mind hanging about for about an hour or so.I'll be going back on Tues 10 August on 5.15pm flight so same applies. If anyone is going to another hotel nearby, that would be allright as well.
Looking forward to seeing you all,
Cheers

Hi

Providng my flight is on time I will be arriving at Krakow airport Terminal 1 on Thursday 5th Aug at about 12.30 mid-day and intend to book a cab via Hotel Eden so if anyone would like to share please let me know.

I am nervous about being in Krakow alone and would like to meet up with anyone staying at the Eden Hotel so that we can travel to the Registration at Hotel Karmel together.

Dear Carole,
if you're staying at hotel Eden then the distance to the registration would be no more than 200 metres. You just cross Jakuba Street and then turn left on Kupa Street. And voila - you're right at Hotel Karmel.

Can you please tell me what train line the Reggie Station is on, does the train run straight from the Hotel Karmel? I really don't want to walk as much as 200 metres. Is there a taxi rank maybe. Will the journey be safe if I am drunk at all? Will there be any Open Mic or other entertainment on the way? What about cafes and restaurant for the trip. Can you please answer all these questions but only in Polish as I don't speak English. Thank you

Sue

Thanks Paula I will make contact when I arrive.

Sue I am not amused by your sarcasm. Maybe you are more confident and comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings than I am.
