buy tickets from "unofficial" websites ?

Post by CarolineM »

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this great forum :)

Has anyone buy tickets on "unofficial" websites, like
http://www.stubhub.com
http://www.ticketsinventory.com
http://www.ticketsreview.com
shop.ticketluck.com
http://www.razorgator.com
http://www.ticketsnow.com
http://www.tickco.com
http://www.coasttocoasttickets.com
http://www.superstartickets.com

They seem to all have the same tickets. Do you think it's safe to buy on these websites or is it scam? :?

I'm looking for a ticket for May 26 in Ottawa, but Ticketmaster doesn't have any :( and these websites have at least 50 tickets for this date.
I already have a ticket for May 25, but I'd like to go to both nights.
Do you think ticketmaster will have some tickets available between now and the date of the concert ? (I thought the concert in Quebec was sold out, but I checked last week and there are still tickets available on ticketmaster).

Caroline,
Just some feedback on your question. I'm ashamed to admit that I have used StubHub twice to get better seats. Ashamed because I really don't believe in supporting scalpers. Still, it has worked as advertised both times. Got front row seats in Seattle and orchestra level seats at Radio City Music Hall, and everything went smoothly. And I was so close to the band that I was able to take great pics and see them actually acknowledge my thanks with nods and gestures. So here's a less than ringing endorsement... I got what I paid for.

I so far can speak highly for StubHub. I was able to sell my other LC ticket on there a week and a half ago.

The check from StubHub arrived on Sat. just as promised.

BUT I am an honest person. I didn't b.s. my posting and thankfully the person that bought it was honest as well and paid up asap.

When I signed up they had strict sounding policy rules. If your ticket is sold, you have to mail it out no later than the day after you get the notice.

However, that being said who knows how many people on there are lying about the views of their seats. I also saw so many countless people on there trying to get rich off tickets, charging hundreds more than they paid, that it was insulting. I paid $150 for mine and sold it for $136. I just wanted to get rid of it and get most of the money back not to be stuck.

thank you both for your answers :)

I think I'll buy on Stubhub.

I tought I shoulb be reasonnable and buy only one ticket, but now I'm thinking that being reasonnable is buying only 2 tickets when I want to follow the whole tour. :D

zenon5, your photos are beautiful :)
I have a good seat for the first concert in Ottawa, I hope I'll be able to take a few pictures. :)
