From my collection: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Th7P8K--vP8

24 May 1985 - Midday Show with Ray Martin, Coming Back To You

ps. I also have the interview with Ray Martin, after this performance, plus the interview and a song from Mike Walsh Show (May 20, 1985), but upload of one track goes for 20 hours or so... I decided to upload this as its BEAUTIFUL clip & performance, and as an honour for just finished Pacific tour.

Penetrating, as always.

Leonard from Montreal....same name...same town...no golden voice

Four days earlier - May 20, 1985, this time Mike Walsh Show, Australian TV, Dance Me... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxAUMhVykmk

This one in colour - but Anjani beautiful in her dress :) As on previous video, the drummer - Richard Crooks, probably the best drummer ever to play with Leonard - is in ecstasy, singing with closed eyes, and also we are getting some beautiful close shots of solos on the guitar - I believe that's Ron Getman on the pedal steel guitar. Correct me if I'm mistaken (Ron Getman played pedal steel; John Crowder the bass, and Mitch Watkins guitars and keyboards, Anjani on vocals and playing the piano all through the every show).

Of course, Leonard's face is as usual the center of all action and happenings... As I witnessed in Luca (July 27, 2008), where I was lucky enough to be seated in the 4th row and hypnotised, as everybody in first rows, with his body movements and facial gestures.

In next couple of days, I'll also upload the excellent interview with Mike Walsh - it's about inspiration for the song (death camps).

(upload is much quicker when I shut down my torrents 8) )

Wow, Tom. These have been awesome videos. I am looking forward to seeing the interviews. What a treasure! I loved the way he turned and looked at Anjani. So many years ago and there were so many relationships to pass through before they were together. Very very special.

Thanks,
Diana

The Mike Walsh Show continues here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dL0WXn-x61U with the interview after the performance of Dance Me...

(NOTE: both MIke Walsh Show clips were removed by the action of Australian TV claiming they own Leonard's performance in the show.)
