quite similar? Frankfurt, Hamburg, Oberhausen, 3 cocerts in line - same setlist. more of interest for me: were the standing ovations after The Partisan in Hamburg unique or not. If no one answers here, I´ll call a friend tomorrow, who was in Frankfurt and Oberhausen.

I have been to four concerts, including Hamburg. No such ovation has been at all. The Partisan has got the same amount of aplouse as other songs at the other concerts. And the aplouse seemed to never end.

New list upto Rotterdam, Nov 3:

Rotterdam had a big surprise, because the setlist included "Chelsea Hotel #2" for the very first time this tour!

thanks for your collection of the 2008/9 set lists, Maarten. you really do a good job. for my personal use I made a chart from your list, which helps me to get a quick overview, which song he added or dropped at which concert. if you are interested, I can mail you the excel chart file.
just a minor suggestion from me: the title of your collection of set lists reads Stagelists. this is a little bit puzzling, as set list is since a long time the term , used among fans and collectors for the songs, really played during a concert. the lists, often handwritten and copied, that are given to musicians (journalists too, I suppose) before the show are usually called cue sheets, just compare Bill Pagel´s Dylan site:
http://www.boblinks.com/
when you read my posting in the Hamburg thread you will understand my assumption about the journalists getting the cue sheeets too. one guy praised in his newspaper Avalanche and the standing ovations after the song - in fact Leonard did The Partisan, Avalanche was on the cue sheet.
as for your Rotterdam set list, it means, Leonard did not exchange songs, but he added one song. you lucky bastards got
27 songs, me in Hamburg 26 and the poor Austrians only 24 in Vienna.

what strikes me, is that he is not playing a single song from his latest Album (Dear Heather).
I don't mind, 'cause I don't like it so much anyway, but it is quite unusual though...

it would be lovely to hear some of those songs, but really..I don't see them coming across as well in a live context. Maybe "There for You" would be good live, and "The Letters" but overall it doesn't seem like an album that warrants a lot of live material

But isn't not playing any song from the most recent album kind of admitting, it was not as good as his earlier work?
