Kelley Lynch convicted on violation of restraining order

Michelle Rice, Esq., succeeded today in obtaining a criminal conviction of Kelley Lynch on eight counts of violation of a permanent restraining order and harassment of Leonard Cohen. Lynch has been in custody since her arrest on March 1. Sentencing is scheduled for Tuesday April 17. Leonard personally thanked Michelle for her enormous work in this matter.

Wonderful news. I'm curious about something though - none of the news articles have mentioned Kory or Rice, just Deputy District Attorney Sandra Jo Streeter. Do Kory/Rice prepare the case and then the DA is the one that is actually in the courtroom? Just wondering how it all works...

How sad. I hope she gets the treatment she so clearly needs.

And how awful it must have been for Leonard. I hope her conviction means that he can now relax and no longer be fearful for his family.

I read the article by the Washington post about this.

Apparently she had left/sent hundreds of emails/voicemails since 2004. Hundreds!

I don't know what "pOwned" means, but I think what she clearly needs is some really good therapy, & I hope she gets that.

And of course, I hope Leonard & family will now be safe & free of all that anxiety, & able to put all this behind them.

Case over at last for Mr.LC and while I feel it was the right outcome there are no real winners here. I assume LC is relieved with the result but would have preferred the whole sorry incident never started at all, and aside from that, I bet Ms Lynch never thought her life was going to take this turn and land her wherever she lands up on April 17th! It's a sorry state which is over for some but only starting for others.
Having said that, I hope so much that Leonard can totally relax now, assign it to the history bin, and concentrate on thrilling his millions of fans on the forthcoming tours......with me in the audience in Ghent and Dublin......Whooohoo

Not sure I would go so far as to say Michelle Rice "prepared the case." Maybe it is more accurate to say that she prepared the evidence that was used in the case. But Michelle's real Herculean feat here was just getting this matter into a courtroom. That took years of tenacious effort and skill.

Thanks for that, Theresa. Even though women may not be so inclined, why would Leonard have any reason to take that chance.
