Lisbon 19 July tickets?

Post by catswhiskers »

Does any one know when these tickets will go on sale??
I have been a fan for over 37 years now--saw him just the once at the Royal Albert Hall,15 years ago.It was an experience I shall always remember.Of course I want a good ticket, but just being in the presence of this wonderful man is good enough for me.
I live in Portugal now so you can imagine my sheer joy when I saw he was actually playing here.I was toying with the idea of going back to England just to see him in London--but everyones comments on the venue put me off.

Hi catswhiskers--Keep checking this site and be careful --there are scalpers out there already selling non-existent tickets for most of the venues. Follow the links posted by jarkko and you cannot go wrong. I hope....http://aeglive.com/showdetail.php?id=17 ... type=event I believe this is the one you want --nothing on sale yet.

Hi catswhiskers. I too have been looking for a ticket. There's nothing on the http://www.ticketline.pt site, and I tried calling them using the international number - 00351 707 234234 - and it's unobtainable. I did find one site selling tickets for €175, but it looked very dodgy.

If anyone has any more information let us know!

I'm a little bit nervous now, no tickets yet here in Lisbon and no more news too. Gonna send a e-mail to "Everything Is New" (local promotor)...Lou Reed will play "Berlin" July 19 in Lisbon too at Campo Pequeno Bullring and Neil Young 7 days before (July 12) in the same Leonard's "venue"...
"tickets for €175" for Leonard's concert I really don't believe cause this is a lot of money...must be around the same of Belgium concert...€50 !!

Hi
If LC's site announced that he will play in Lisbon must be because some sort of compromise is fixed. The curious thing is that the events in Passeio Maritimo tend to be free (access to everyone), but I doubt that this particular event will be like that as everybody knows that a LC's concert is eagerly waited by a few millions (hence there's an opportunity to cash in).
Since there's a lot of uncertainty at the moment regarding the tickets for the Lisbon event, I secured tickets for Edinburgh just in case I miss the Lisbon ticket sale (and I may decide to see both concerts, after all it is Leonard Cohen himself!).
I guess we just have to be patient and pay attention to the usual sites.
Cheers,
Luis

Hi and Ola to everybody,
please, should anyone have any news concerning this venue, post a message, please...
We're not that much waiting for that venue... By the way, what's the best way to get to the place? I know Lisbon city center a bit, but Costa da Caparica much better :D .

"Passeio Maritímo de Algês" is a big open space near Tejo River 10 m by train (Cascais Line) from Cais do Sodré Railway Station...very easy!! ;-) No tickets yet!!

Blue_bird, thanks for the info.
I've just realised you live in Lisbon, so I permit myself the following inquire: have you managed to contact the ticketmaster? I've been calling and mailing them since the very first Jarkko's info but the line is ALWAYS busy and they don't answer my mails. Is there any news at least when the tickets go on sale? Any rumours?
My kids have holidays, I have no time to keep peeping the forum and the lack of news is killing me. I've even cancelled family week - off in the country to stay connected to the forum. I was trying to contact a friend in Lisbon to make him go to the ticketmaster's office to find out something but I have no luck - he's out for holidays. It's horrible, I keep reading other posters' messages on how difficult is to get tickets or how quickly the tickets got sold out and I'm becoming more and more scared...

I live in Portugal. spoke to Ticketline just now, they say they have no idea when the tickets will go on sale!
The person on the phone then said "keep watching the web site, it is updated in real time and will show the tickets for sale as soon as they are on sale"
hope this helps
cheers

Hi,
thanks a lot for your news. I will keep checking the forum to find out more. I've finally managed to contact my friend in Lisbon and he promised me to move earth and sky to tell me a date. So, if strangely I'm the first one to have any rumour concerning the sale I will post a message. Blue_bird, how I envy you seeing LC live - this one is going to be my first time and I am so excited! I think Lisbon is a perfect place for his concert, and though I don't know the venue it sounds nice. I've been once to a wedding in Oeiras and there was a kind of park next to the city hall, is this the Passeio Maritimo? Well, I hope all of you Portuguese friends have a nice Holy Week. If the weather permits I will try and go to spend a day at my kids' favourite beach (Waikiki, Costa da Caparica). And I hope we'll manage to meet all in July!!!

Hello Magdasto!

Oeiras is in the middle of "Cascais Line", Passeio Maritimo de Algês is in Lisbon city limits after Belém (Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and CCB), no news yet about tickets...I'll post the good news here soon or later, keep in touch!

Glad to find this thread still active--I have been checking the aeglive site every day to no avail--was beginning to think there was no hope--I will keep this thread up and as soon as anyone finds out (me included) please post here. The venue is sounding nicer each time I hear about it --I did manage to find a pic of what looked like a park with palm trees--that will do nicely thanks. Sorry I can't remember where I saw the pic or I would post a link. The things we do for LOVE!
