pe,

Can't thank you enough for posting the link to this interview! I don't remember ever listening to this before. We always talk about how wonderful it would be to just be able to sit down with LC in a relaxed atmosphere and simply chat with him. This interview gave me that 'intimate' feeling - it's as if he was talking to me. He is so easy-going in this.

Interesting though, how in his 'recent' interviews, that anytime the interviewer asks him how he came to write certain poem, songs, lines... he now usually will 'forget' how they came to being. It's almost as if he is constantly telling us that our personal interpretations are okay.

Even though this interview was 45+ minutes long, it was an easy thing to listen to while catching up on the forum. This has to be one of my favorite interviews with him, probably even number one favorite. Thank you again pe!

Warmest regards,
Mary

Thanks, pe - hadn't come across this before, a thoughtful interviewer and LC being refreshingly honest and self-deprecating as always - eg feeling like a slug!
The frequent pauses for ads. become irritating ( the audience would certainly be aware of Leonard's new book by the end of this!) but thank goodness the ads. are edited out! And I see today is Roshi's birthday...
Forget your perfect offering -
