The Book of longing (rare off radio version)

Post by G.B. »

Some time back I found on Youtube a grainy video of L.C. on a boat in the Med set to a sharp but scratchy track of the The Book of Longing - jazzy, bluesy with a wonderful punctuating Sax. The version has now disappeared. It was described as rare at the time by the 'YouTube poster' and so it was - it was stunning. For me far better than the Glass version, which I find lugubrious. Does anyone know of or what happened to the version I am describing and where it can be found?

I think this is what your looking for, I heard it only one time during a broadcast from KCRW on Jun 24 2006.

If you want to go direct to the song "The Book of Longing" you have to go to 30 min.
