Suzanne Vega

Postby dick » Tue Apr 26, 2011 7:11 pm

As a big fan of both Suzanne Vega and Carson McCullers, I am excited to learn of this new play/musical in NYC.

We have a busy May, but will be able to catch one of the previews this Sunday (May 1) at 3pm. Would loeve to see some Cohenheads if any can make it.

Here's a link to a video of her on the same subject filmed on New Years Day at the Poetry Project:

Thaks Thelma

That clip helped my appetite!

Here is another Suzanne sample from last December --- powerful song and good video. Suzanne sitting with some pretty good other songwriters - Richard Thompson and Grandad Loudon. :D

Thanks Dick - I loved reading all of Carson McCuller's books - and her work coupled with Suzanne Vega - this is going to be good!
About attending this coming Sunday though - sadly - "Linda regrets ..." :(

Thanks to both you and Thelma for the video links!!
Looking forward to hearing about it.

Theres lots of reasons to mention Suzanne Vega and Leonard Cohen in the same sentence.
