Sure looks like it was a lovely day of walking.

With the first photo, did you walk in the water or on it? Great photos!

That's what I figured, Wijbe ;-) . Why is the water so milky? I don't recall seeing water like that before in a stream/river. I've seen water that looks muddy, but that's not even muddy looking, it just looks milky.

That does not look like water at all in the first shot. I thought it was a stone path hmm?

Lovely photos and lovely weather, nothing like going on a long walk with friends.

Just curious is there always 2 ways to spell Dillenburg. I notice that Wybe spelt it Dylanburg :)

Hey, Wybe,
wasn't it frozen water you were walking on?
If so, still remarkable ( for the time of the year..)
greetings,
J.

that's a joke we play on henning.. i told henning last year that despite the local traffic department having spelt the name wrong on some of the road signs that it must be very satisfying to have a town so close named after the famous singer/songwriter/author/poet/painter/actor/sculptor/radio dj/chicken farmer/ from minnesota ......henning didn't agree with me...said it upset him so much because he had to drive past plenty of dylanburg (dillenburg) road signs on his way to work everyday.......

..............but the volcanic ash had the last laugh this year....having had my flight cancelled because of the ash i was unable to attend this year's tower of song festival...i had to have a memento of my cancelled trip so below is a photo of me unpacking my bag........
....................which not only contained all my spare underpants and stuff but also in preparation for next year's tower of song festival copies of all of johnny cash's american recordings plus the extra box set of outtakes and alternative recordings from all of the american recordings ....plus of course my usual peace offering of football memorabilia for henning....so if you fancy getting hold of any of this stuff i'm going to put in all up on ebay in the next day or two........not the underpants of course....

...thanks for the photos wijbe....did you enjoy the soup?............ta ken

Hi Lizzytish, Tinderella, and Surrender.

We did not know why the water had that white color, maybe the was a lot of oxygen in the fast stream.

Dylanburg is as Ken writes the joke from last year, during Tower of Song 3.

Ken,
The soup was wonderful after the long walk we made, sitting outside in the sun, it was a real treat, what a pity you could not be there this year.

That's what I thought at first, too, Tinderella, but then I realized it was water. Maybe it's the particular mineral content of the stones there, Wybe?

Hi Diane ~

Bluebells 8) . It's been forever since I've seen them. Your photographs are compelling. Looking at them evokes real emotion. Behind your lens is a professional photographer and true artist. You might want to get her name sometime so you can follow her work.

It wasn't enough to look at the first page. Went right through to the end and looked at every photo. You've gone so many varied, yet unique, directions with your approaches and treatments. I also love how some have simple, yet appropriate, titles... and others are titled through verse. Very intriguing on the 'Dream' one with the lines fading in and out with the sky and water... and the way you broke up the lettering on the fence part of the title of your broken fence photo. You nuance your photos very effectively.

What is the seeming apparition on the river? It looks like a ghostly frame of a cabin.

I could comment on a lot more, but time to get off here. Amazing work, though. Really amazing. You oughta find some way to exhibit, but price high or you're liable to go home with none of your collection :) .
