I Held A Woman Once

Post by Stuart Marley »

I held a woman once
She was lovely, she was sin
I knelt between her legs
Her buttocks to my chin
My tongue upon her trigger
I spoke to her in love
She left me for another
And so it goes with love

I held a woman once
Her hair was liquid grace
She lead me by my hunger
She beguiled me with her face
She thought that she would have my child
And then she changed her mind
It haunts me when I think of this
The ghosts I left behind

I held a woman once
She became my passion then
Her eyes became a nirvana to me
Where in dreams I wandered in
Her skin was like a promise
That tomorrow's wouldn't keep
I turned away from other loves
And my heart it fell asleep

I held a woman once
She was young and so was I
I knew I wouldn't keep her
But I knew I had to try
I met her at the station
From off the midnight train
The last to leave the carriage
Such bliss can't come again

I held a woman once
And I won't hold her again
But the memory or her figure
Could drive a fool insane
My tongue upon her trigger
And her buttocks on my chin
I try to keep them out
But the memories tumble in
