Oh I love to visit Leonard
He's a saint and he's a sinner
He's a clever bastard living in a suit.
When he shares and tears his longing
In his kneaded leavened song then
life's a sweeter and less bitter kind of fruit.

I take comfort from you, Leonard
For, too often, I've found men hard -
Won the tie, but couldn't shift the suit.
Still diving deep into the other
To find another kind of lover
Has been a noble and a tough kind of pursuit.

Again i don your dance shoes
For there's nothing left to lose
As I take to the waltz one more time
Swimming in images that resound
As the glitter ball twirls round
Spinning on the precipice of rhyme.

Ah, closing time's approaching
And I know that I've been poaching
Scared that my thoughts will get found out,
But when the bell tolls for last orders
and I'm lurking on the borders
Naked on the dots I will dance out.

Oh I love to meet with Leonard
He's a a saint and he's a sinner,
He's a clever bastard living in a suit.
When he tears and shares his longing
In his kneaded, leavened song, then
Then life's a sweeter and less bitter kind of fruit.
