Re: young leonard

... da vinci's 'mona lisa' is an iconic painting, but is completely flat and dead ... Well, it certainly seems so when one views a photograph of it, but the original painting has a very remarkable quality: the eyes! They seem to follow one as one moves across the room, from one side to the other, a...

I appreciate his work! I thought that a literary reference would be fitting.

Re: Encounter

'Quinity' is correct, Lisa, by the way. 'Cause Leonard counts twice. Actually, based on the way that many people speak of Leonard, he really ought to count as three. In which case, Mr. Hansard would end up with a "sextity", which seems rather more fitting in the context of Leonard Cohen, ...

Re: Encounter

Fascinating theory this fellow has about energy transference between people. Who am I to question these things? However, Mr. Hansard ought to learn that if one is extending a "trinity" to include a fourth individual, "quinity" (his word) would actually refer to "five", ...

Re: Suzanne Elrod

No offence, ChristineH, but since you presumably do not personally know either Mr. Cohen nor Ms. Elrod, to hazard a guess as to why their relationship ended is rather presumptuous, not to mention absurd. Human relationships, particularly the very close ones between lovers, are often rather enigmatic...

...and the two in the 'runners up' category. if they are less than 'quite good' what are they then? Dear Geoffrey, I know that you may be feeling somewhat slighted by the fact that your particularly exceptional logo did not even make it onto the podium (that's a sport reference: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd p...

Lizzy, how do get to the Forum? Do you have it bookmarked? You obviously find your way here, so why can't you find your way to the Files the same way? Bookmark it on your computer, perhaps? Make it a "Favourite"? There are many ways that one can get to a website, and I can't see any reason...

However, it was neither of them that I was thinking of: it would have been a much older painting, perhaps one of the Old Master...
