Re: Lithograph of the special edition

No, in this case his signature was printed. This was a free promotional item to support the album. Very definitely not "free" Jarkko!! Those of us who bought it paid a pretty substantial premium for the litho package version of the CD. I think I paid something like £45 for the CD + litho. The price...

Re: Buxton, England 1st Sept.

Tony and I were hoping to join you all in Buxton. However, I realised after I booked the hotel that I am supposed to be in Gateshead on 2 Sept and was wondering whether it made any sense to spend just Thursday & Friday night in Buxton on the way north. A walk on Friday would be great if we can sort ...

Re: Next Step: Charity projects

I am a little bit shocked that so little of the money has been spent on the main project. Given 2/3 of the funds raised for a permanent tribute to Leonard are unused, is there scope for another memorial of some sort elsewhere as well as the charity projects? Montreal has been mentioned and I am cons...

Re: Can anyone recommend a dealer for a signed LC photo?

So maybe the photos might have come from people like us who never sought out Leonard but were very fortunate to have met him. Mind you, the chance of anyone getting the photos and autographs off Vicomtesse are slim to no chance at best. I think you answered your own suggestion there Vicomte. Also, ...

Re: Can anyone recommend a dealer for a signed LC photo?

I refuse point blank to buy these items. I saw these people crowding around Leonard when he arrived back at his hotel exhausted after a long show. Maybe a dozen of them at a time, barely letting him get out of the car or van. They would present him with a pile of things to sign and of course, Leonar...

Re: New set of 7 LC-postcards

Thanks for the interesting replies and suggestions Hugo and Maarten. I think you could be right Maarten, especially as you have the 7 and six card sets to compare.

Re: New set of 7 LC-postcards

I bought a set from eBay too. However, I was not convinced they were the real thing. Firstly there are only 6 cards instead of 7 and secondly, the quality of the cutting is very poor (or maybe amateurish) with bits of other images around the edges of the cards. They didn't cost much and I'm not too ...

Halifax NS - 13 May 2008

For those who follow these things, Raincoat1 has just uploaded a recording of this show to Dime. Whilst a few tracks from the opening concert of the 2008 tour in Fredericton were made available on a Record Store Day special vinyl in 2012, I believe this is the earliest complete recording to emerge f...

Re: Hattie Webb Album Launch Show in London, 19th May

I am hoping to be there though the train fare makes it a pretty expensive outing. Anyone else who, like me, lives a long way from London might like to note that Hattie's concert runs from 19:00 to 20:30, making it feasible to catch a train home after the show and avoid the cost of overnight accommod...

Re: Nadine (NEeMA) tours in Europe

If you possibly can, please come and support her at Pizza Express in Dean Street, Soho this Saturday at 1.00 pm (12 hours away at the time of writing). I was originally only planning to go to one gig, but after Stoke Newington, I couldn't possibly miss the Soho gig, and hope to see some of you ther...

See you at Pizza Express John! A recent Virgin Trains seat sale made it possible for me though I have to dash back to Birmingham straight after the show.
