I do plan on listing this on eBay - I'll wait a while longer in case I get further information, but one way or another I'll include all the caveats and let the buyer decide for themselves. We sell under "thebookguys"
Enough said.

"Our" Leonard may be unique but is Leonard Cohen really such an unusual name? It's a lovely find but it seems quite a leap to assume that it originated in Montreal, Canada. Where was the book published?

Re: Letter from the Mayor of Hydra

Thank you for the updates Jarkko. I will admit I had some concerns about what would happen to the surplus funds but I am very happy with the result. It is also nice to know that Gideon was able to confirm that this was in accord with Leonard's wishes (though I don't think any of us would have doubte...

Could someone PM me that video? I know that it's not supposed to be out there but I'm dying to see it again.
I would love to see it again too.

Re: Montreal: comments and feelings

Thought you might want to know that your chapstick stayed there till at least November 7th. Still there Nov 8! I did wonder .... We left stones from Hydra when we visited in September. This time I left a little bit of Warwickshire, which I am gratified to see is still there on all the later photos ...

***The screen remains empty, but after a while the recording begins. So try again and wait some time to get it started! / Jarkko*** I still can't get it to work on my iPad but had no problem using my laptop. It was great to hear Gideon again. What a wonderful informative host he was, his words were...

Re: Montreal: comments and feelings

Interesting info stfa. Thanks. I wonder why they didn't do Passing Through? If there is one thing the show lacked it was an ensemble finale. Having a solo singer do an off standard version of Closing Time was an odd way to finish. When she asked us to sing along we couldn't very easily because she s...

Thanks Foxwood.

Paxman was at one of the Manchester Opera House shows - the first one? - in June 2008.

All I am getting is a link to an App which I have no intention of downloading. Does anyone have the full link for the info?

Thanks

Re: Leonard's tombstone

One thing keeps hitting me in my (artist’s) eye though is the different angles of perspective between the headstone in the background and that of the stone in the foreground. I would have thought both would have parallel perspective sight lines. Maybe it’s just the camera shot angle or perhaps ther...

Our interest lies in outdoors activities (long walks etc.)
Don't forget about Mont Royal itself. Easy to get to and lots of scope for long pleasant walks, with great views over the city.
