Re: Tributes to Leonard around the world

This is a not so recent article, published shortly after Leonard's death by a journalist cousin of his, Andrew Cohen: http://ottawacitizen.com/opinion/columnists/cohen-my-cousin-leonard-cohen-a-dark-creative-soul-who-never-left-his-montreal-roots# Apologies if it's already been posted here on the Fo...

Re: Hydra: Songs and Tales of Bohemia

There was a packed house for tonight’s concert and the show was even more enjoyable than the previous ones, as it has been developed and extended, with more biographical LC and historic Hydra audio-visual footage interspersed between the songs. 8) The musicianship was of the usual high standard we h...

Re: Hydra: Songs and Tales of Bohemia

As Wybe has posted elsewhere, this further revised show is being performed again over the next two nights in the lovely grounds of Melbourne's Hellenic Museum : http://www.hellenic.org.au/hydra-songs-and-tales-of-bohemia I'll be surprised if they are not sell-out concerts - I have my ticket for toni...

LC tribute concert, Melbourne

This concert is a re-run of ones I enjoyed in 2015 and 2016, highlighting Hydra with its background visuals, whilst the performers do justice to Leonards' music, but paying additional special tribute to Leonard in this instance: http://www.hellenic.org.au/hydra-songs-and-tales-of-bohemia The venue, ...

I echo your irritation re that, Wendy, but enjoyed the show nevertheless, even though I would say I've preferred other performers doing Leonard's songs in similar shows.

Re: Tributes to Leonard around the world

Below is a touching and very fitting tribute to Leonard, by way of two large posters (4m x 2.5m) placed in horizontal alignment on the external wall of an art gallery located on a busy road here in Melbourne. (I couldn't get them in one shot, as I would've been run over by the traffic. ;-))

Re: Darker Album in the charts

Here's a an article highlighting how 'You Want It Darker' has bounced back up the charts here in Oz, above its earlier highest spot (6th), into 2nd spot, with 'The Essential Leonard Cohen' also cracking the top 15, at number 12: http://themusic.com.au/news/all/2016/11/19/illy-lands-1-aus-debut-as-le...

Re: Leonard Has Passed Away

I'm not sure if this has been posted in here yet.

Anyway, it's a shortened YouTube version of LEONARD COHEN - The Last Interview (September 2016) published by David Remnick on Nov 10th:
