IMO, only Cohen does Cohen the way it should be done, namely HIS way. But I like very very much Madeleine Peyroux's Dance me to The End Of Love, and Carla Bruni's In My Secret Life. I can't stand Buckleys's almost buckling over Hallalujah - he almost goes thru the roof - and as far as I am concerned...

Madeleine Peyroux's cover of this is my favourite cover of any of his songs, and I can count them on two fingers if I am pushed. Her jazzy version is amazing, and I never tire of it. Pity she doen't sing her other songs as well, but maybe that's because LC only wrote one of them! I also didn't think...
