Re: Along the way... Discovering Leonard's albums

Thankyou Jean, for your additional translation of La Manic. I should have left it for you being our resident French language expert! I recall reading some place that Leonard had been working on and off for years to come up with English lyrics for La Manic, but he was never satisfied with the result....

Re: THE FLAME - Leonard's New Collection of Poetry

SOLD :D A thousand times over! We are going to have to put the "P" word into serious practice now.....but a year goes by so fast these days! This will surely be the brightest light to come. What an aptly named title. The Flame "kindles a light for the lost" ..... The Flame is "A million candles burn...

Re: Along the way... Discovering Leonard's albums

Some words by LC about this song: "Here's a song that searches out the middle place between the beginning and the end of things". "This next song is about that place between the beginning and the end of things, in which you summon yourself". "Here's a song that tries to locate that moment when you s...

Re: Along the way... Discovering Leonard's albums

Leonard had a couple of those Camargue cross symbols – here’s another one - http://www.leonardcohenforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=14795#p182118 Hehe! There are at least 20 other live variations (some minor, some different) of those 15 official lines of Love Calls You By Your Name. Leonard was just doing ...

Vickie and Patrycja,
Thank you both for your kind words about my tribute to Leonard.
I shed some tears putting it all together.

Vickie, your reactions and experiences are absolutely normal around here! And Dave is uncannily right about the "fan" word! Maybe he's been paying more attention to LC than you are aware, ha! Hi Vickie, Those names you mentioned are co-incidentally the same and a perfect red herring but nothing to do with the answer. Interesting that your name is included too, isn't it :) I'll wait a little while to see if someone can solve puzzle no 2. Akk! I didn't realize it also came in a DVD because...
