Leonard Cohen Lyrics That Would be Suitable for a Wedding Reading?

Hi Cohen Fans! I've been asked to do a reading at my friend's wedding next month and he has been brave enough to let me choose the reading. The only conditions being that it is not religious or too 'adult' (there will be children present at the wedding). I've been looking for a suitable Leonard Cohe...

Re: Audiobook of Favourite Game?

Nothing available on Audible.

I remember Jarvis Cocker reading an excerpt on his radio show, it sent shivers down my spine. My Favourite Game read by Jarvis would be wonderful.

What Landmarks Should I Visit in Hydra?

Hi All, I'm am off to Hydra this coming weekend as I am running the Hydra trail race, 16 miles over Mt Eros. I am a keen runner and when I saw the event in Hydra I couldn't not go as it is a chance to run a race and visit the island which was home to my greatest hero for so long! So my question is, ...

Re: Free ticket for Berlin 02 gig.....

I bought myself a ticket for the London 02 gig to make up for missing Berlin. :D I was up at 5am for a 12hr shift, drove straight from work in Nottm to Stanmore, got the tube to Greenwich for the gig (missed only the 1st 10 minutes), tube back and long drive back to Nottm and I have to be back up fo...

Free ticket for Berlin 02 gig.....

Hey.... If anyone is travelling to Germany for the gig at the 02 on Saturday I have a ticket I cannot use due to financial reasons (my student loan hasn't arrived), clearly it is too late to sell it but if anyone is travelling from this area or East Mids airport I can drop it to you and you can use ...

Re: Edinburgh July 16th

I so much enjoyed the show, I didn't get in to Leonard until about 10 years ago (I'm 28) and it seemed for so long that he had retired from touring, so when the tour was announced I was ecstatic, he didn't disappoint, it was beautiful. Highlights for me were 'Ain't No Cure For Love', A Thousand Kiss...

Re: Reappraised LC songs in light of the current tour

I was never a big fan of The Sisters Of Mercy until last Wednesday, though I think Leonard sounds better live than on record in almost all instances. His live albums are excellent, unlike many artists. I wonder if he will cahnge the setlist at all for the fall tour? Although I think it works well, I...

Re: Worst ever LC tracks

I really like Death Of A Ladies Man, the title track is one of my favourite Cohen numbers and Memories is outrageously good.

Jazz Police is indeed a bit rubbish, I struggle a bit with Dear Heather if I'm honest.
